Legacy System Integration Testing

The Banking and Financial service firms across the globe are going through a major transformation due to continuous deregulation, globalization, mergers & acquisitions, fluctuations in economic conditions and changing technology. New technology such as .NET and Java can replace legacy system (COBOL, C++, C) only in front office applications, however at back-office, legacy is irreplaceable and indispensible due to lack of documentation

For instance, in case of order management system, the legacy system can be connected to new technology using bridge program for example: COMET, Charles River, which is either custom developed or COTS system, at front office whereas, ticketing the order at back office is still done using legacy systems.
